Are There Real Haunted Houses? Folks at a Closed Airbase say YES!

I've heard of real haunted houses, but this is the first I've heard of a haunted airbase! According to blogger Linda Preston, the old Burtonwood airbase (in the UK) was once a thriving American base during WWII. However, there have been several unexplained sightings of ghosts.
From what Preston wrote, the first sightings were during the war when swirling mist was seen. Some people believed it was the ghost of a pilot who died in a bomber crash. In later years, a local gent was working alone in a hangar coverted to a museum, and noted an old man sitting in an abandoned bus near the hangar. When the man asked a fellow worker who the old man was, they realized no one was in the bus, or in the hangar.
Locals believe the old man was the ghost of a recluse who used to live in the bus. That wasn't the only mysterious happening for the volunteer worker; apparently a ghost wearing a WWII uniform "hitched" a ride with him! The man quickly opened the passenger door and let the ghost out!
Finding Your Own Ghosts
I have read several books and ebooks on ghosthunting and being a ghost hunter, and woudl advise you not to mess with this unless you're really interested in finding the truth about the spirit world.
